I painted the background with some Fresco paint (fabulous stuff as you only need one coat) then over stamped a bit of crackle stamp inked up with some brilliance ink. Tando's Karens Flower (yes, that is me) has been painted then crackle accents on top. Along the bottom I added some torn book page and some matching painted paper before adding the washi tape. Beads & chain finished it off.
Here is my 'matching' calendar page for the Calendar Challenge. I wasn't too sure how to add pretty purple, flowery tape to this but then hit on the idea to make a 'grounding' for the stamped car.
The background is slightly watered down acrylic paint which has been blotted with kitchen towel to create a look of texture.

Ooh I love your little flower arch, beautiful colours and an amazing attention to detail, the washi tape adds a lovely contrast too.
Ha ha ha, what a fab sentiment on your gorgeous calendar page, too true sadly though with the loonies that drive round here!!
Huge hugs x x x x
What a lovely arch. The texture on the calendar page is very effective - fab idea xx
It's gorgeous! I'm off to learn more about Fresco paint, to see what it's all about and thanks for the tip about dabbing it with kitchen towel- cheap and easy techniques often work best. Great inspiration - ta muchly :-)
Fabulous use of the tape and I love both the arch and the calendar page xxx
Gorgeous arch here Karen - and a flower named after you: wow! I'm not a washi tape fan but I love your subtle use of it - less is certainly more in your case.
Just love the sentiment on your calendar page - try driving in South London - aaaargh!! You probably get our nutters down there on holiday though!
