ATC BOX

Hi people xxx

Do you ever wonder what to do with all those gorgeous ATC's that you have?  Tando Creative have designed a couple of lovely ATC boxes?   The lid folds right back and to close the front just tucks behind where I have put the book plate!  Plus they hold around 50 undecorated ATC's!!!! Oh and there is one for ATC COINS as well.   Here is the one that I did.....

After daubing on paint with a sponge I added some *weathered wood* through a stencil.  When it was dry I added some white over the tops.

To neaten the circles up which were a bit messy, I added dots with a brown Posca Pen.  At the front I added a *mini book plate* with the lettering inside.

I painted the insides plain.

Thank you for taking a looksee x

ATC - men!!!!!!

Hi lovely bloggers, I hope that you are keeping warm wherever you are.  If you are in the US I hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving!

I have made an ATC for a swap...the subject was men!!!  After being tempted to do something a bit rude I remembered that I had one stamp with a man/men on it!  It looks like they are members of one of those exclusive mens clubs (no, not the funny handshake type :D).  Anyhooooo, I thought it would be fun to tart them up a bit....so they are in mufty hahaha!  For those that don't know...a mufty day is when you dress in your casual clothes for school/work.

Thank you for taking a looksee today, stay warm with some HUGS xxx

SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT - yellow & green

Hi everyone!!!!  I have had the dreaded flu and have really not felt like doing much crafting but I did get messy for this weeks SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT's challenge this week.  It is to use yellow & green....not a favourite combo of mine but I like a challenge hahaha!!!  I have made an ATC...

I had been using some Tando chippie numbers on an Advent Calendar ( you can see that later :D x) and saved the waste to use as a stencil....so that the background!  The image is one of Sir Tims and of course the quote comes from 'The Prisoner'...just love that one!!!

Thank you for popping over today my lovelies!!!  HUGS XXX

TRIPTIC ATC'S

Hi there!  Thank you for all your lovely comments on my previous post...they are all encouraging so am feeling that maybe I should draw more :D

Here are some, well one as they were all the same, pics of an Atc that I have made for THE ARTISTS TRADING CARD CLUB which is up & running again!  We were asked to make Tryptic atc's and some gorgeous templates were provided.  We were also given free rein on our subject.

I used plain cream card which was spritzed to death, nearly, with various mica sprays.  I stamped & embossed the insides before adding a bit more colour.  The images have been coloured with Inktense watercolours before cutting out & sticking on.

Oh & lots of edges were 'lifted' with a gold pen!  Thank you for taking a look today my lovelies, HUGS XXX

DRESS IT UP ATC'S FOR JUNE!

Helloooo!!!  You all know how much I am enjoying MARGARET'S Dress It Up Challenges every month don't you???  Well the lovely Margaret is the Guest Designer for the ATC Challenge at ARTIST TRADING CLUB this month and guess what she has asked us to do??? hahaha Yes...make little dresses tucked into pockets on our atc's.  ooooo how I have loved this...right up my street hahaha

Margaret has even provided instruction on how to make the pockets and a template for the dress...though I have to admit that I went my own way and made my own.  For the background I used a Tim Holtz stamp which I love because its all about sewing and then decided to go with that theme....sort of :-D

A neat trick (which I picked up somewhere) for glueing beads in a row is to thread them onto cotton before hand than just pull the cotton out when your work is dry....wonderful tip!!!  Though you all probably know that already!!!

Its not too late to enter this swap so pop over to see Chriss to see what you have to do.  Mine are winging their way as we speak haha.  Thank you for looking today, HUGS XXX

Artists Trading Club!!!

Hi there!!!  Today I would like to show you some ATC's that I have done for the fabulous ARTIST TRADING CLUB!  If you would love to join in do pop over to see what its all about :D

The 1st one is actually one I made for the March swap...the theme being 'Garden Fairies'.  The flowers are stamped & watercoloured whilst the fairies are stamped & embossed with black glittery embossing powder.  I added the grass to give it a more 3D look.

This 2nd batch are my entries for this month with the theme being 'Vintage'.  The backgrounds are all done by smooching with DI's.  I used a mixture of stamps whish I watercoloured and then added lace & old buttons.  Of course there is a rubbing of stickles on all of these hahaha!

Thank you so much for taking the time out to have a looksee.  Love & HUGS XXX

DOODLING YOUR COOKIES ATC'S

Helloooo, these are something different for me...mmm...think I might have gone a bit overboard but it was fun and thats what crafting is about...right???

This month theme for the ATC swap over at THE ARTISTS TRADING CLUB is called Cookies.  We have been asked to doodle!  So I took my black A4 card upstairs & played while watching telly.  I then scanned it in & used elements of it for the backgrounds of my ATC's.  With a few of them I just shrank he A4 down to fit.  I had to go over some of the colours tho as they didn't scan well.

Thank for looking, HUGS & DOODLES! XXX

THANK YOU CHRIS!!!

Last week my super-talented friend Chris put up a few of her ingenious ATC's for  swaps on a first come first served basis.  I was sooo lucky to get one of these!!!  Its called 'Boing Boing' and reminds me a little of Aboriginal art.  Its a mix of collage & doodling and I just love it, thank you Chris XXXX  The colours are a lot deeper irl tho .

In return I sent her one which I hope was all bright & sunny...

...and along the way I thought I would have a go at a doodled one myself, though it looks like a 10yr old did it hahaha.  Hope it made her laugh anyway haha

Chris has some stunning work on her blog, please pop over for a visit!!!  Thank you for looking today, HUGS XXX

A COUPLE OF SWAPS!!

Imagine how chuffed I was when Chriss from The Artist Trading Club asked if I would like to do ATC swaps!!!!  This is my 2nd now & its really great to get back some wonderful ATC's from such talented people, thank you Chriss XXX

The theme for November was 'keys'.  The ATC is actually a lot brighter irl but thats winter light for you.

The background is a blend of distress inks sprayed with gold glimmer mist.  My castle stamp is from Paper Artsy, which I watercoloured.  The chippie key has been dabbed with 2 colours of versamark & then glassy accented.

The 2nd swap I have done is for the BubblyFunk Forum and is a twinchie.  The theme is Christmas.

The background is distress ink which has been overstamped.  The Father Christmas is part of a larger stamped image which I painted & cut out.  I used my quickie glue pen to add glitter inplaces on his beard and there are stickles for berries on his hood!  Have I been good???? NAH.....thats boring hahahahaha!

Thank you for looking, have a great weekend & keep your feet dry & warm, HUGS XXX
