Yes...I definitely made a teabag :D We often go away for weekends and I usually don't like the tea that the hotel
provides in the rooms so I take my own supply! So I have made a little bag to
put them in.
For the bag cut a rectangle of fabric around 14 x 5 inches
(I used calico) and decorate. I stamped mine with a background stamp and some
words from a PaperArtsy Hotpick using Brilliance Ink (pearlescant orchid) and
Memento Ink(Grape Jelly).
Fold the
fabric in half and stitch up each side to around 3inches from the top. Turn. Now
fold down the top edge to meet the stitching. Stitch a line across 1/2 inch
down. Tuck a small hem under along the raw edge and stitch to form a channel.
Repeat for other side. These channels are where your cord will go. I also added
a little decorative stitching round the top.
Take the 2 smallest ~Tando Creative~ cups from the Mug and Cups Grab Bag and decorate with paint, not forgetting the other
sides!
Take a piece of cord/ribbon around 14inches long and thread through one channel and then on through the other channel. ( I used a paperclip for this.) Making sure that your bag is flat tie a knot close to the sides of the bag. Repeat using another cord but going in the opposite direction. Add beads and a cup & saucer as in the pic. Voila!!!! I made a teabag hahahaha!!!!!
Its all about having a CUPPA over at ~The Craft Barn Blog~ this week so do pop over for a look at all the DT makes.

Hi my lovelies! There are two special babies due in my family soon.....a new nephew (a brother for Millie) and a step-grandaughter...its so exciting!!!!! Jeremy's 1st grandaughter comes first so I have been busy getting together a little something to welcome her! Now I have to be careful not to step on her Grannies toes so I have kept it simple. Don't want anymore family rows hahahaha!!! As I am going to the Baby Shower (never been to one before) I thought of a little gift which is always useful.........thank you cards!!!!
Tamara is one of these lovely people who always does thank you's. There are 12 in the box, all Beatrix Potter stamps which have been watercoloured and a little GA & glitter added. I got some ready embossed blanks and chalked them. For her main present I made her a little bag to put baby stuff in for taking round the house...
...and shall fill it with the usual bits & pieces plus a pressie for the new Mum! Can you see a theme going on here??? Yes...the nursery is BP themed! I got the lovely fabric from COTTON PATCH who are worth a look if you love fabric!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to come & see my blog. Please leave a comment if you have the time, LOVE & HUGS XXX
The challenge on FISKARETTES last week was to work with fabric in some way. I am a bit late for this one as this challenge was for last week but never mind. My little niece, Millie, is coming up for two and has started to go 'shopping' around the house with a paper bag hahahahaha. I thought I would make her a real little bag to carry her finds in. Its pretty diddy at 6"x5" but big enough for her. You just cannot teach these girlie habits young enough can you??? hahahaha

The main part is of cotton...the outside being orange and the lining & strap being lime green. The heart & flowers are in felt. A button and some gorgeous ric-rac finished it off. Everything is sewn down VERY securely as well!!!! Oh and it really is square, although it doesn't look it in the photo.Thank you so much for taking the time to have a look and I love yo read your comments! Take care XXX
