First you need to take the spring off. This is a bit tricky as it is very strong so mind your fingers. Then paint it with acrylics. I painted a base of DecoArt Americana in Bahama Blue then dabbed PaperArtsy Ice Blue and a touch of Americana Vivid Violet over the top. When it was totally dry I stamped some little snowflakes using Brilliance Moonlight White over the top. Making sure the pieces were completely dry I then stamped and embossed larger snowflakes in silver. Now you can put your peg back together. (I found it useful to have another pair of hands for this)
I also made up a small canvas board to clip onto the peg. Using the same instructions as before but only embossing the larger snowflakes around the edge. The quote has been PC generated and mounted onto silver Mirri card.
To add a bit more versatility I also made up a chalkboard by painting the background with the Americana Bahama Blue and adding the same pattern as before but only round the edges. A few layers of Americana Clear Chalkboard Coating was added. I like the idea of somewhere Christmasy that you can leave a message or two!
So take a sideways look at your pegs and think outside the pegbag!!!! Take a look over at The Craft Barn Blog this week to see more ways of using them!!! Thank you for calling by, HUGS xxx

This looks fantastic. Brave of you to take it apart--I am sure I would never have got it back together again

Ooh I love this one sweetie, you have decorated it beautifully. Lol I know how much trouble it was to get back together too but definitely worth it, a superb crimbo decoration fit for any table.
Huge huggles x x x x
Another gorgeous little make for Christmas, especially with this small canvas hanged to it that makes a really nice signboard !!! Big Hugs Karen. Coco xxx
When I first saw this, it was only a tiny square image but when I clicked into the actual post and saw a full size image, I was much more impressed. This is a brilliant individual project and so so pretty; blue, white and silver is my fave Christmas colour combo. I wonder if you're keeping it or going to sell it at a craft fair x
