ROSIE-DEE'S #59

Hi everyone!!!  Being a member of the TANDO CREATIVE design team, I was delighted that Rosie-Dee's Challenge this week was sponsored by Tando.  The theme is

RED, GREEN & a bit of BLING!

I had some lovely Christmasy Tando chippie to hand so I just had to use it for this didn't I?  I swished over the white card with some chalk inks & the same with the image (this was an RAK from my wonderful pal Kaz, thanks honey XXX).  The chippie holly has ben painted & then glossed with red stickles on the berries.  I did the same for the holly on Santas hat.

Do take the time to pop over to Rosie-Dee's & take a look at what the other DT members have made.  There is also a fantastic prize of Tando going to one lucky winner this week!!! HUGS XXX

R/Dee's Challenge #58 - Up for a brew????

Helloooooo...fancy a brew????  I don't know about you but I could always fancy a brew!!!  The current challenge over on ROSIE-DEE'S CHALLENGE BLOG has been kindly sponsored by Heather over at FRESH BREWED DESIGNS.  The lovely Heather was kind enough to send us a selection of images to choose from which was brilliant as we all like different things don't we?  We also had a colour theme from Rosie...

LEMON, LIME & A DASH OF RIBBON!

I chose a coffee mug which you can find here! Although I am not really into digi-stamping Heather has some lovely designs on offer...go take a peep!  Here is what I did with mine...

I had a go at paper piecing with this one.  I printed the whole thing out twice, using one to make templates with the different sections.  I then cut different papers to pop over the original image, tucking lace & threads in there too!  I glittered the handle & the strip across the 'waist'.  The image was then double mounted onto a white card which I coloured with distress inks.  The sentiment stamp is my own.

Do pop over to Rosie-Dee's and have a go at the challenge.  Its great to use zingy colours when everywhere is all Christmasy hahaha.  HUGS XXX

R-D's CHALLENGE #57 - PINK, WHITE & A WAFER!

Sounds like a lovely ice cream doesn't it???  This was the theme for this week challenge over on ROSIE-DEE'S CHALLENGE BLOG for this fortnight.  We were sponsored by...

...who provided us with some really lovely thick paper to play with.  We also had a sketch to play with.....

...but guess who forgot to use it?????  really sorry girls XXX  But I did get to make another Christmas card haha

The lovely thick paper from PPD was actually thick enough to use for the basecard & its a slightly off white colour, tho it looks a bit pinky in the photo.  I attacked a bit of a pizza box to get my corrigated card which I drbrushed with white acrylic before spraying with Wild Currant Glimmer Mist.  I stamped the tree (Elusive Images) onto some more of the lovely paper using Cranberry Arindack ink.  The sentiment is one from my Christmas box.  I finished it all off with a chiffon ribbon.

Thank you all for taking a looksee.  Do pop over to R-D's to take a look at what the other DT members made...its all looking lovely & pink!!!  HUGS XXX

ROSIE-D'S CHALLENGE #54 & A BITTY-BIT!!!

This week see's the the last of some of the DT which is very sad.  Just where has the time gone? There will be a few changes next week as we go fortnightly.  But there will be some tutorials thrown in as well!!!

Last weeks theme was BOWS & ARROWS, following our shapes idea for September.  We also had some digital images from our lovely sponsor - THE CUTTING CAFE.  We were sent some lovely Halloween & hearts images to play with.  I decided on a cute row of pumpkins.  They were watercoloured & then glossed over.  The background paper is BG Lime Rikey.

My bitty-bit is for tomorrows challenge which took me right out of my comfort zone...which can only be good right??? hahaha

Peek-a-boo.....hahahahaha.  Thank you so much for popping over.  Please pop over to Rosie-Dee's tomorrow around 6.30 to see what the others have made.  HUGS XXX

Rosie-Dee's Challenge DT reveal & a little bit!!!

Hi, I feel like I have been a bad blogger but it really has only been a week!  Must have been a long one eh hahahahaha
Here is my reveal for R/D's Challenge #53.  The theme was STARS & STRIPES. Of course my first thought was the American flag but I really thought others would do that one.  As the 'C' word i lurking I thought it was time I made a start on the cards.

TBH I am not sure what the paper is as it was a scrap in my Christmas box.  The chippie sentiment is from a lovely set by K&Co.  I stuck gold metal stars down one side.  I have to say that I am not too impressed by what I made but it is my 1st Christmas card done hahahaha

and my little bit for todays challenge....

Thank you so much for popping along.  Will be back tomorrow with this week BS Challenge piece.  LOVE & HUGS XXX

ROSIE-DEE'S CHALLENGE #52 and a BIT OF TINSEL!!!

Hi there!!!  Sorry that I didn't post this on Saturday but I have been off for a short break this weekend.  Isn't it great just to dip out now & again for a relaxing time out?  I have just sepnt an hour or two catching up with your lovely blogs, still more to go so don't feel bad if I have missed you out XXX

The prompt for Rosie-Dee's Challenge 52 was to use one rectangle & 2 squares.  I decided to make a bookmark this time to add to my growing pile of little pressies for Christmas!!!!

The background of the shapes is peeled paint distress inks and the little butterfly stamp is Elusive Images.  I embossed in gold around the edges before mounting onto black Bazill Bling.

My BIT OF TINSEL is my sneaky for this weeks challenge.  I expect you have already been over to see what it is but I think you can guess what sort of card it is anyway hahahaha

Rosie-Dee's 51 reveal & a teensy weensy!!!

Hi all!!! I don't often bring my personal life onto my blog but I am bursting!!! I have just spent a lovely day with my step-sister & her hubby! We haven't seen each other in 17yrs....not through any falling out or anything but just the logistics of the miles between us! A Fabulous day!!!

Today is the day that I reveal my DT offering for last weeks challenge on ROSIE-DEE'S CHALLENGE BLOG . Being a new month the main theme changed to SHAPES and it was sketch sunday. Sorry I didn't save the sketch for you but its still there on their blog!

I decided to go a bit oriental with mine...must have been the Chinese I had the night before hahahaha. I have used DCWV for a base & spritzed it with copper Glimmer Mists. The dragon is a lovely stamp by Personal Impressions & very carefully watercoloured with my Aquatones. The circles are punched & then sprayed & scrunched.

My teensy weensy is a little bit from next weeks challenge, no52!!! Do pop over to see what the other DT members made.

Thank you for coming over for a look at my teensy weensy hahahaha HUGS XXX

ROSIE-DEE'S CHALLENGE 49 & a little bit!!!

While still continuing with the theme of HOLIDAYS, the theme last week over on ROSIE-DEE'S CHALLENGE was the SEA. I though about fishing boats to start with, probably because I come from a fishing town (Looe) but I just couldn't get it right so ended up with dolphins. Not necessarily a 'holiday' theme but I have had the honour of swimming with wild dolphins in the sea while on my holiday in Australia. It was an incredible, incredible experience.

The image is by Jayne Netley Mayhew. I stamped the background with my favourite swirly stamp and the mount is cut with a fiskars border punch.

This 'little bit' is the lat in the HOLIDAY series. Next month there is a new basic theme but broken down every week as well. Do pop along tomorrow around 6.30 pm for the new challenge.

Thank you so much for taking time out today to visit. Its the last week of the school holidays & I hope that you have enjoyed them HUGS XXX

Rosie-Dee's Challenge 48 & sneaky peek!

The Rosie-Dee's Challenge DT were all busy again last week thinking about sunshine! The theme was....SUN and there is some lovely stuff over on the challenge blog.
I had trouble with this one tho and in the end, after searching through my supplies of CD's, I found an image of an old poster for Sunlight Soap....do they still make that??? My Mum used to use it on collars...probably my school ones hahahahaha In the end I made a tag with it....

Here is a sneaky peak at tomorrows effort, Wk 49. Do pop over to see what the challenge is. Its usually up around 6.30pm.

Thank you so much for popping by, Have a great weekend XXX

Helloooo from a wet, miserable Cornwall :( Hope it bucks up for tomorrow as I have been promised a day out :)))

Its saturday so it the day that I do a bit of revealing (of the crafty kind hahahahaha!) of what I have been doing over on
Rosie-Dee's Challenge Blog. But first I will show in full the layout I did for week 47 - beach.
This photo of my daughter & her friend, Alicia, was taken by the local press way back in 1988 for a sandcastle competition on Looe beach in Cornwall. At this point they hadn't done too much but with a little help from Alicia's dad they came 2nd (yeah I know it was cheating but all the parents helped haha)

Here is my sneaky peak of tomorrows DT entry. The theme is SUN. Do pop over tomorrow around 6ish to take a look at what the DT have done and to have a go!!!

Thank you for taking a looksee. I will be back tomorrow with the new WEEKLY CHALLENGE for BUBBLYSCRUMPTIOUS so watch this space!!! Hope the sun is shining on you this weekend, HUGS XXX

Rosie-Dee's wk46 reveal & sneeky 47!!!!

Hi there from sunny Cornwall XXXXX

As promised here is the full version of my DT entry for Rosie-Dee's Challenge 46. There was a sketch for this one and as the theme is HOLIDAYS this month I did a scrapbook page.

The photo is of my daughter sitting in front of Canning Dam, which serves Perth, Australia. It was the beginning of their summer and you can see that the dam is pretty low. Ahhhh that was a great holiday!!!!!

Here is my sneeky for week 47 which will be put up tomorrow.

Please pop over tomorrow to see all the DT's ideas. I hope you will feel inspired to have a go!!!

Rosie-Dee's Challenge 45 reveal & sneaky 46!!!

Hellooooo!!! Here is my full pic of the DT card I did for Rosie-Dee's this week. The theme was 'Sympathy'. I never make sympathy cards as I find them too hard so have to confess to buying them!!! But I rose to the challenge and have to say that it was very hard!!!

The card is around A5 in size. I printed off a sheet of Abide with Me music and then cut an oval in the middle. I scruffed & inked it before sticking to the front of the card. The lovely chunky rose sits over the oval. The sentiment is PC generated. A black bow finishes it off.

...and just to be naughty again, here is a sneaky of tomorrows challenge!!!

Please pop over to Rosie-Dee's Cahllenge tomorrow around 6ish to see what their new challenge is.....the theme changes too!!! HUGS XXX

Rosie-Dee's Challenge #44 - revealed!!!!!

Last sunday on Rosie-Dee's Challenge we were asked to make something for a BABY! I chose to make a card and was, at last, able to use a quirky bird stamped image that I had scrounged from my lovely friend Kaz!!! Don't you just love it?????

The bird was painted and then cut out. I made the sling with some kitchen towel and actually stuffed it a bit so it looks like there is a little bundle inside hahahaha!!! I stamped some flowers along the bottom & painted them & added glossy accent to some. I stamped the sentiment and painted that to match. Oh and of course there is a bit of white frilly lace along the bottom!!!

Although I am not really supposed to do this until tomorrow I have added a sneaky peak of tomorrows Challenge while I am here. I am over-run with rellies and will be out the next couple of days. I just hope that Rosie & Dee don't mind too much!!!!

Actually I am off to meet Rosie in a little while as she is down this way on holiday!!! I am so looking forward to it as I haven't seen her for a year!!! Have a lovely weekend....HUGS XXX

R/D's Challenge wk 43 revealed!!!!

Goo'day!!!! hahahahaha just getting into practise for my Aussie rellies coming tomorrow!!! Can you tell I am excited???

Last Sunday I did a teensy sneaky peak for my DT entry for Rosie-Dees Challenge Blog!!! I am sorry that it was sooooo teensy....well sort of sorry hahahahaha. The theme of the challenge was WEDDINGS and I made a picture for our bedroom.

The squares are 2" , all decorated differently & then put onto mountboard. The photo's are of my wedding 18mths ago and I converted them to B/W which I thought looked better with the lilac. There is lots of edging with my gold Krylon pen too.

The flowers, buttons & chunky heart all stand out really well to make this a 3d feast!!!! Oh & the letters are painted chippie.

Thanks for coming to have a look. I will be posting another sneaky peek (promise it will be bigger) tomorrow for the new CHALLENGE which should be up around 6.30pm. Take care & HUGS XXX

If you want to see my take on it in all its glory please pop over to Rosie-Dee's blog for a looksee and to see what the other members of the Design Team have come up with. Oh and do get all romantic and enter the challenge!!!LOVE & HUGS XXXX

Rosie-Dees Challenge week 42

Me again!!! Do you remember that I put up a sneaky peek at the beginning of the week???? It was my design for the Rosie-Dees Challenge week 42 - sketch. The theme for July is OCCASIONS and this week we were free to pick an occasion as long as we worked from the sketch provided.
The Sketch

I chose to make a birthday card as I have severe need of them this month haha. Now why do birthdays seem to come in batches???

The background paper is K&Co and the stamp is one of my favourites by Elusive Images. The pearls round the lady are yet more taken from my old wedding dress.....it had a long train haha!!! I added some lovely soft velvet ric-rak and some blue lace.
Please pop over to see what the other design team member did for this...everyone has a different take on the sketch!
Look out for a sneaky peak tomorrow for next weeks theme!!! Thank you for taking a look HUGS XXXX
