New Beginnings Challenge!

Hello my lovelies!  We run a monthly challenge over at *Tando Creative* where you can actually choose your own prizes from a long list of Tando goodies :D.  This month we have been all about 'New Beginnings'.  I had to dive into my Tando stash for this one as nothing came to my mind instantly DOH!!!!  Such a muppet really as you can have New Baby...Job...House...Weddings...loads to choose from hahaha!  I have made a simple New Home card using Mini House & Fence set and the gorgeous Mini Rabbits!

The monthly challenge over at ~Tando~ is all about LOVE for February (of course)!  I have used a chippie journalling block and 2 hearts from the Mini range.

I know you saw these Running ducks on a Christmas card I made recently but I do love them!  We don't get more slushy for Valentines Day in our house, its Valentines Day everyday here :D  So I have chosen green as my base colour.

Feeling Blue at Tando!

Its everything blue over at ~Tando Creative Challenges~ for this months challenge!!!  There are some wonderful prizes to be won so do have a go and kick start a new creative year!  Here is my stab at it...a simple ATC...

I have used a gorgeous background stamp by La Blanche which was a present from my sister for Christmas, thank you Dawn x.  The Tando butterfly has been covered in paper then had crackle accents applied.

Wings in November!

Helloooooo!  The challenge over at ~Tando Creative~ for this month is all about 'WINGS'.  There are always fantastic prizes up for grabs so do enter this one!  You don't have to use Tando products but if you do you are entered twice in the draw...brilliant isn't it?  For my piece I used a butterfly...

...which I sprayed with Dylusions ink then stamped & embossed a butterfly image from Chocolate Baroque.  Isn't this Irish Blessing fabulous?

Tando September Challenge

Hellooooooo!!!!!  Its challenge time over at Tando Creative Challenge Blog and this months its all about LEAVES AND TREES!  You can make anything you like as long as it fits the prompt.  Its great that you don't have to use Tando products but if you do them you get entered into the PRIZE DRAW TWICE!!!!!  Good that eh?  Here is my piece...

I found a little box frame in amongst my stash that was a pressie from a lovely friend a while back.   The tree and leaves have been daubed with acrylic paint then crackle accents applied.  The inside of the box has been painted and a crackle stamp applied to give some 'texture'.  The top has been covered in some paper masterboard I left over from another project (see below).  The quote is from 'The Quote Garden'.

Big Fish, Little Fish

The challenge for August over at Tando Creative is 'Travel' .  It gave me a chance to play with some new stamps that I got recently....a new PaperArtsy Hotpick with the lovely ship and the enormous fish hahaha!  This card is for my Step-Dad who was a sea faring man...bet he never saw as big a fish as this eh :D

Of course the main draw to this set is the wording...being Cornish it was a must have!  I did google it but it doesn't exist anymore, though interestingly there are others around the country.  I masked the background and sprayed with dylusion ink.  The wording has been stamped & layered onto a cloud!  Well, why not...its a nice shape hahaha!

An Angel & some news :D

Hellooooo, lovely summer we are having ROFL!!!!!  The weather is pretty dire here in the UK by any standards!  Anyway, today I am showing you an Angel that I made using a Tando chipboard angel as a base.  She is quite diddy at 3inches tall...

She was originally made for ~The Craft Barn Blog~ when I was a guest designer last month, for their Frontage week.    Er....did I mention that I am now on their DT permenantly????? YAY!!!!  I am so delighted and looking forward to working with some lovely goodies :D  Anyway, back to the Angel.  When she went travelling to the Craft Barn Extravaganza several people asked how she was made.  She is pretty straightforward to put together if you would like to make one...I have put a tutorial ~here~ under the Tutorials (doh) header at the top of my blog.  Here are her wings in close up and a pic of her nekkid hahaha

Covered Ring Binder

Hi my lovelies, this is for all you fabric fiends out there hahaha!  The Challenge this month over at ~Tando Creative Challenges~ is to use FABRIC.  You can do anything you like to be entered into the winners draw but if you use a piece of Tando as well you get entered twice.  I have played with fabric & chipboard for a while now & got some good results.  It makes an excellent base for fabric!  For my piece I have used a teensy  ring binder that Tando make, suppliers ~HERE~.

As you can see I did a bit of patchwork for the front & have the international size guide along side hahaha!  The back....

The fabric is all curtesy of ~The Craft Barn~, many thanks Sandy x.  Not too sure what I am going to use it for, maybe farbic swatches or maybe my patchwork templates :D  Here it is nekked, you can see that it also comes with inserts for you to decorate!

Altered Mirror

Gosh, it seems ages since I posted!!!  Over at ~Tando Creative Challenges~ we are halfway through the May challenge.....ALTER IT!  Its my turnalong with ~Zoe~ to be the 'inspiration' this week...mmm...not too sure I am hahaha!  I have taken a wooden hand mirror blank & tarted  decorated it.

Yes, I did use a piece of Tando...the glittered flower on top of the bow!  I gave the frame a light coat of lilac acrylic before glueing on a paper napkin (am so into those at the moment).  I then coated it with multi-medium matt, adding a sprinkling of glitter.  Onto that went my glittered Tando flower, a paper flower & ribbon.

Back to the challenge.....Di has some new kits out called Works of Parts ~here~ which include enough bits & pieces for one complete project.  To celebrate this the winner of this months challenge will win won of these fabulous kits!!!!  A lovely prize!!!  So do have a go and if you use Tando products in your entry you get entered twice!!!!!

Tando March Challenge!

Hellooooooo!  The weather here in Cornwall has been glorious the last few days...real t-shirt weather so spring is here at the moment!!!  Its the 1st March and there is a new challenge over at the ~TANDO CREATIVE CHALLENGE BLOG~.  Di is having a rest from the challenge blog and the lovely ~Carol~ and myself will be taking it in turns to run it.  This months theme is celebrating Spring...

'SPRING IS IN THE AIR'

Although Tando don't make a chippie spring (yet!) we would still like you to use one in your entry.  Here is my effort...

I used a spring to attach the little chippie scissors from the sewing set to the top of the mini canvas.  Lots of fabric going on here......it makes a change from paper.  I have loads of the stuff in boxes hahaha!  Here is the nekkid chippie...its a lovely set.

February's Challenge at TANDO!

Am I the only one who cannot believe that its february already????  The NEW CHALLENGE over on the ~Tando Creative Callenge Blog~ is all about leap year :-D  So the prompt is

'Leap off the Page'

This can be a 3D project or something that just leaps off the page!!!  I chose to go with paper and make a card for a special little girl I know...

The hippo is Tando chippie and it the head that is 'leaping'....well actually its nodding hahaha!

You have until the end of the month for this challenge and you don't have to use Tando products!  The bonus is that the winner is drawn at random and you get to choose your own prize from ~here~ and ~here~ :-D

Helloooo!  Novembers Challenge is still ongoing over at the  ~Tando Creative Challenge Blog~.  This months challenge can be anything using...

BLUE & BROWN

 Its a fantastic challenge as you don't have to use any Tando products and at the end of the month there is a draw where you can win Tando Products which you choose from a selection....how good is that????  We are showing you different entries from the DT each week and this week its my turn :-D

This 7x5" canvas has been painted up and then I have painted & stickled 3 of Tando's Karens Arch Frames.  I had so much fun using my Stampotique stamps for this hahaha!

Printers Tray/birthday card!

Hellooo, everyone seems to be loving these ~printers trays~ from TANDO CREATIVE which come in different shapes and sizes. I chose the little one (103x103cm) which has a lid, cover...whatever you like to call it haha! I decided to be a little different and make mine into a birthday card for my daughter, vintage style.  Though maybe I should have chosen a more modern theme as she says she feels old now....she is 26!!!  Oh, I wish I was 26 again...daft mare hahahahaha!!!

I glued all the levels together and sprayed them with Glimmer Mists. I also used one of Tando's ~plaques~, which come in a pack of 3, for the cover, also sprayed with Glimmer Mists. The papers are Basic Grey Bittersweet.

The little bits inside are from my stash...old lace and a bead, a stamped bustier with teensy buttons, an old stamp and a silver butterfly charm.

We are pretty busy over at Tando at the moment...there is the MONTHLY CHALLENGE with prizes that you can find ~HERE~ and then something very exciting...

Tando Challenge 2 - Rustic Charm!

WHOOOO!!!!!  its the beginning of the month & time for a new challenge over at the  ~TANDO CREATIVE CHALLENGE BLOG~  If you took part in last months please pop over soon to see if you are the lucky prizewinner -D
This months challenge theme is....... RUSTIC CHARM...you can make anything you like as long as it fits the theme.  You don't have to use Tando products for this challenge.  Here is my bit of rustic charm...

Its a diddy little key cupboard from The Craft Barn...its only about 5inches high!  I gave it a colourwash of pink & rubbed some Frayed Burlap DI on the edges.  Paper went onto the hearts & the door insets.  I colourwashed the insed with green.  The bird, branch, mini frame, flowers & hearts are all  chippie by Tando & painted to match with some crackle accents in places.

How cute is that little drawer in the bottom?????  No idea what will go in there hahahaha!

Whoooooo!!!!!!  Tando Creative have started a ~CHALLENGE BLOG~ :-D  and there are PRIZES up for grabs!  Its going to be a monthly challenge so loads of time for you all to have a go and the great thing is that you don't have to use Tando products for this...good eh?  We are going to be showing the DT work in stages so this week there are 3 for you to see, including mine and the theme is...

'GO WILD'

You can interpret the prompt any way that you choose, I chose to make up a 4x4" canvas using my Tando elephant.  He has been covered with GA then alcohol ink dropped in while still wet...soooo easy!  BUT...like I said no need to use our products for this challenge so go on...have a go.  Look ~HERE~ for the list of prizes you can choose from, its huge hahaha!
