Rosie-Dee's Challenge 17

17 weeks already? seems incredible!!! This week Rosie set the challenge to make a flower to use in our crafting.

I used a page from an old book for mine. Don't worry, it was an old dictionary that a lovely craft-appreciator gave me from a market stall. He couldn't sell it and when I explained what I wanted it for he just gave it to me...I was so chuffed! Anyway, I am drivelling!

I stamped a largish flower image in raspberry ink and cut out. Then I screwed it up in a ball, opened out and rubbed the creases with red gold brilliance ink. I made two, glued them together in the centre and then added some micro beads in the centre.
While I was at it I did the same with a couple of strips of the printed paper to go on the card. I used a lovely flourish stamped in the red gold brilliance again and coloured a little bit in blue/green pen to match the centre of the flower.

Thank you so much for looking, I really appreciate all your comments XXX

This is lovely Karen - and the card you've made using it is gorgeous.

I did something similar to your flower a year or so back, working with the old paper and some inks etc was a lot of fun

Hello!

Its great and possibly one of the best IMHO! Some take time and effort and really think about the challenge which you really have done here! Shame there isn't a prize as I think you would have won it! Have you thought about teaching or doing demo's? Hard work but something you might enjoy once prepared maybe? Might be a call for it in your part of the world or even into one of the larger City areas nearby?
