Hello everyone! The Tando team are delighted that we are featured in November's issue of THE CRAFT STAMPER! We were all sent the same substrate to work with so it will be very interesting to see how different they all are! To be honest it doesn't have a name (as yet) but it is a fun piece!!!!
I am kicking off with mine and I have turned it into a Post-It note holder, although they are diddy!
Lots of Weathered Wood Crackle going on! And open....
The two little Post-It note holders...
Thank you for looking .
Take care , Karen xxx

Wallet/Magazine storage
Storage is always a problem, especially in a craft room :D So...how useful is this one?????? I have made up this very-easy-to-do *WALLET STORE* . It is incredibly sturdy and will hold magazines easily and because you decorate it yourself you can really go to town!
Once joined together and painted I added some painted embellishments. Who can resist the *WHIMSICAL HOUSES * and those *CURLY TREES* are so pretty!!!!! Had to add a few little *BIRDS* to finish off.
At the moment this wallet store is only available with the Round Box which looks like this...
But still a very good price for the two.

Tando Creative's Paint Saint!
😊😊Hello lovely crafters! As my paint stash grows more and more I am finding space to be an issue in my craft room. Ever late to the party as I think most of the Tando DT already have one, I have decorated a *PAINT SAINT*. If you haven't seen one of these you will be amazed that storage with a 5inch square base can hold 32 1oz pots of paint!!!!!!!! It will also hold the next size up but not so many.
This comes with instructions and is very easy to put together and easy to decorate if you use a brayer, which I did :-D I softened down the *media paints* (Primary Magenta, Cobalt Teal Hue & Dioxazine Purple) with *tinting base* to make pastel shades before randomly brayering them on all the surfaces before putting them together. Then I added some white spots and some stamping.
You can see that they form two trenches (for want of a better word haha) onto which you lay the pots.
To finish my Paint Saint off I wrapped some *Bakers Twine* around the handles.
Thank you for coming to take a look today. Take care, hugs, Karen x

Binder
Hello! Tando Creative have had some new products out to show you :-D I have been decorating a mini binder which is perfect for the 82x148mm stencils. Though you could of course use it for anything!!!
It is cut all in one piece and the magic is in the 'bends' so its very straightforward to decorate!

Village in a Box
Hi there. This little project for Tando Creative was fairly time consuming but worth it! Please bear in mind that I used a lot of colour in this as I have also written a tutorial and the colours show up well in the photographs :-D
You can find the tutorial *here*. It really isn't as difficult as it looks!!!!

Grungy Christmas!
Yes, although we are in the Halloween month I have done something Christmasy for you :D I have decorated the Christmas Birdhouse in a bit of a grungy style.
Everything that you see is supplied in the kit apart from the paint and glitter. Such a shame you can't see that!!!!!
Thank you for looking today, take care xxx

Down in the dark woods.....
Hellooooo! Today I have a Tando SHRINE that I have decorated. It looks a little gloomy inside which is what I wanted to achieve. A sort of 'deep down in the dark woods' feel :-D
There are deer down in the woods with the rabbits and the owls!!!

Beach scene
This week Tando are highlighting 3D kits. If you look around the website you will find there are a lot of them with varying themes......something for everyone! But I also wanted to highlight Tando's workshops so the kit I have chosen to use is one that Di sometimes uses in her workshops so sadly it is not on general sale. But it does give you an idea of the quality of Di's workshops. Plus they are very chilled and full of laughter!!!
I live in Cornwall and the coast is a big part of my life....little cottages perched on rocks, smugglers caves and yellow sand! I ignore the seagulls hahaha.
So if you fancy having a lovely day out with like minded people look out for a workshop near you!
Hugs, Karen x

Moroccan Cupboard
Hellooooo! Today I have a 3D project using Kate Crane's Ministry of Mixology (April2017) dividers and a host of other Tando bit and pieces. When I was doing Kate's class in April I could see straight away that they could be shelves so I have made a little cupboard!
and open...
I used:
Kate Crane's MOM Divided Box
Moroccan Grid
Lace Effect Border
A Key from the Mini Keys pack
Plain Chipboard Sheets for doors
DecoArt Mixed Media Paints : Quinacridone Voilet, Cadmium Orange Hue & Quinacridone Gold
DecoArt Weathered Wood
DecoArt Tinting Base
There will be a tutorial available so watch this space.
Hugs, Karen x

Fun with Cubbeys!
Hello! I am excited to show you Tando's new CUBBEYS!!!! These are a range of little shadow boxes with or without apertures. There are different sets to get and they all fit together!!! I had a lot of fun with these! I used Starter Kit 1 and then a small add-on pack.
Because I wasn't going to heavily decorate the back panels I glued them together before painting. When dry I glued the boxes together as seen. Then I decorated some card to cover 3 of the apertures once I had planned what was going where.
To fill the boxes I chose to make some things which represent my love of crafting :D ...
...a little book for journaling , some wonky patchwork for my sewing, knitting, a teensy mixed media panel, a Tando *house* of course and some pencils for my love of drawing! I found a lovely quote from Albert Einstein to add which sort of sums it all up don't you think?
There are so many things that you can do with these *Cubbeys*. What will you do?
Till next time, take care, xxx

Rocking Horse!
Hello everyone! I am back after a much needed break from the DT and raring to go again :-D Today sees the start of another 'Anything Goes' week and I am here to show you a Tando Creative *Rocking Horse* that I have made up. You get 2 in a pack and I used 2 packs of MDF ones (you get a choice of greyboard or MDF) and glued them together so that my Rocking Horse is free-standing.
After glueing them together I painted gel medium around the edges to make it easier to add the blue acrylic as sometimes you need several coats to cover them! The main body was painted in an off white then stamped with a crackle stamp. My 1st idea was to add bright flowers but I guess the mood wasn't there as I found myself making a leather saddle etc! A teensy flower button was added to the bridle.
I am liking this idea to make the animals free-standing so may have a go at the reindeers nearer Christmas :-D
Thank you for taking a look today, HUGS, Karen x

A little thingamegig!!!!
Hello! This week at Tando Creative we are making up flat pieces into 3D items. I have used the insides of these GOTHIC ARCHES that were left over from another project to make a little container. I have popped some liberated coffee stirrers in so that you can get an idea of size.
I glued the 4 arches together before painting them. Some Sparkle Medium was pushed through the LONG FLOURISH STENCIL before being mounted onto a TWINCHIE. Its a shame you can't see the sparkle though.
Although this is only dinky I can see many uses for it...cocktail sticks....incense sticks...special pencils... Please pop back for more ideas soon as we blog nearly every day. If you would like to have a go then do join in our challenges. You will find details on the tab at the top of the blog.

Bookcase!
Hi there, its another week of 'Anything Goes' over at Tando and I am kick starting it with another decorated BOOKCASE. (yes I do have a few to do) This time I have kept it fairly plain...
I went with my favourite crackle effect on large pieces.....an under layer of copper acrylic, when dry a layer of thin PVA then white acrylic while the glue is still wet. This technique never fails me! I added hearts to the outside ends so that it wasn't too plain...
The hearts are from a GRAB BAG. I used an embossing folder to add interest before painting them copper...

'Gee Up' or whatever you say to a horse!!!!
Hi there, I have had fun decorating a HORSE! This one is free standing (from Tando Creative) at around 6inches high and is made from sturdy MDF.
I wanted to try out the DecoArt Media Misters and was not disappointed with the colours...really vibrant! I started by giving the horse & stand a cover of Gesso before spraying through a few of Tando's Masks/stencils. I added some Bakers Twine for the mane & tail plus a quote which looks wonky (sorry). The stand has been covered with DecoArt Crackle Paste which was coloured with some fluid acrylics. The quote reads: 'Horses lend us the wings we lack'...I like that even though I am scared of riding haha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is what I used:
Tando Horse
Tando Masks:
Giovanna's Doilie 8inch
Random Circles Mask
Andy Skinner's Sunburst
DecoArt;
Media Misters
Crackle Paste
Media Fluid Acrylics
If you love horses why not get the Horse and Carriage? Imagine it with all the tackle added :-D
If you would like to join in with us and enter your makes into a monthly draw then please take a look at the Link Page at the top of the Tando blog.

Mini Heart Basket
Helloooo!!!!!!! This little heart basket from Tando is soooo cute at only 9cm square! Its free standing too so can be popped onto a shelf or mantelpiece without taking up too much space :-D
I have used DecoArt Fluid Acrylics throughout, which I love as they are so vibrant. I needed to mix some with white acrylics to get the right shades to fit our colour theme but its easy with these paints! Some stamping on the basket & surround plus some doodling & gems finish it off! The colour theme? Its sooo pretty....
Thank you so much for popping by to see me my lovelies, take care out there xxxxx

Giant flower peg!
Hi there!!!!! Its all about flowers over at Tando this week! I have made up a GIANT PEG for holding notes etc.
I cut 2 chipboard pieces 2x5inches to decorate with some Tando flowers. DecoArt Fluid Acrylics have been used throughout (love this paint!). I doodled some stems with a black fineliner pen. Two wooden clothes pegs were then glued between the boards and some string threaded through some holes at the top to hang it by. Or you could add some magnets to put it on the fridge :-D
If you fancy joining in with any of our themes this month its not too late. Just take a look at the page at the top of the Tando Blog for more information.

Shelf Unit
Helloooooo!!!!!! I really couldn't resist these pretty little shelves when Tando Creative brought them out!!!! They have 'LOVE' letters that fix to them but I have put them to one side for another project. So this is the *LOVE LADDER* without the love haha! It stands around 18inches high and as you can see it tapers towards the top.
Perfect for those little nik-naks, jewellery boxes, crafty makes....anything small that you might want to display :-D I have painted & stamped mostly, covering the shelves with paper to cover the little slits where the letters should go...
If you would like to see more Home Décor this week head over to our *BLOG* to see what the design team have been up to. If you fancy joining us with any of our themes for this month then take a look at the top of the Tando Blog for the link up page.
Thank you so much for coming to see my blog, I truly appreciate it, HUGS xxx
