Hello! I have surrounded myself with masks/stencils for you this week!!!!! Tando stencils/masks are incredible in their durability! They can take anything you throw at them and come up trumps without splitting or tearing. Sturdy enough for texture paste but also fine enough for stamping through. You can find them *here*. We also have ranges designed by *Andy Skinner*, *Neil Walker*, *Giovanna Zara* and our own lovely *Kaz*, so lots to choose from!
For my project this week I have made a 'masterboard', just an A4 piece of card decorated with stencils (3) & spray inks to be used as backgrounds. It always amazes me just how far a spray can go....ITS EVERYWHERE!!!!! hahaha! I used Gio's LARGE DOILIE, Andy's SUNBURST and RANDOM CIRCLES.
Firstly I decorated a chunky page from my Tando Folder (you can see it decorated *here*). I added some more stencilling using Gio's PROFILE mask, drawing around the face and painting it in with acrylics. I smudged some 3B pencil around it to soften it. The Tando Hearts have been covered & added too. The background has had another stencil, sprayed through with white to soften it.
Then I added a stamped image to make a card. Adding *TEXTURE CRACKLE PASTE* through a *HEART* stencil...
Next came an ATC. Another Tando HEART was covered in the patterned card and added...
There is still some pieces left too! Not sure what I am going to use them for yet. But this is a great way (and simple) to make your own backgrounds.

Background week at The Craft Barn
Hi, we are all looking at 'backgrounds' this week over at *The Craft Barn Blog* . You would think that as I am a journaler this would be easy right? Well, it wasn't hard but I did have to think 'male' as I wanted to make hubby his birthday card. I find it far easier make a large A4 sheet and then cut my background from that. (or you can scan it and print it off when you want some) So with lots of swooshing of distress inks & stamping this is the card I ended up with...
Anyone who has met my lovely hubby will know that he is totally in love with his camera, well actually, any gadget that comes his way hahaha! So this PaperArtsy stamp was just perfect!!!!
Oooops...better show you a close up of part of the A4 background sheet I put together hadn't I...
Thank you for taking the time to pop by today, please take care peeps, HUGS xxx

Tando September Challenge
Hellooooooo!!!!! Its challenge time over at Tando Creative Challenge Blog and this months its all about LEAVES AND TREES! You can make anything you like as long as it fits the prompt. Its great that you don't have to use Tando products but if you do them you get entered into the PRIZE DRAW TWICE!!!!! Good that eh? Here is my piece...
I found a little box frame in amongst my stash that was a pressie from a lovely friend a while back. The tree and leaves have been daubed with acrylic paint then crackle accents applied. The inside of the box has been painted and a crackle stamp applied to give some 'texture'. The top has been covered in some paper masterboard I left over from another project (see below). The quote is from 'The Quote Garden'.
Why don't you go & check out what other people have made and then have a go yourself? The prizes are so worth having :D. Thank you for popping by, HUGS xxx

MASTERBOARD & STUFF!
Hello my lovelies!!! I would like to welcome some newbies to my followers list - thank you so so much for liking my blog XXXX
I have been getting all icky & mucky with paints and created a masterboard after seeing a few in Craft Stamper! (I think thats what they are called haha)
This A4 piece started life as a piece of plain white card. I added Eco paints, gesso, some stamping & embossing, then probably some more gesso & glitter, in fact I threw lots of wet stuff at it till I was happy with the result. Then it sat on the side for ages as I wasn't too sure I wanted to cut it up :D Anyway I have now & these are what I have made with it...2 cards...
...2 ATC's...
...and a scrapling...
You should have a go at this...its great fun!!!! Thank you so much for popping by today, HUGS XXX
