Hi everyone!!! Today I am blogging about a book I made about Sybil, my late mother-in-law. Now she was one plucky lady!!!! She developed cancer of the jaw in her early twenties and suffered until her death at 50. She volunteered for radiotherapy trials in the early stages & continued to help with trials when she could. Against all advice she had a very healthy son in 1956 in between treatments. The operations took their toll by her 40's when she had literally lost half of her face. But she still went to bingo every week till just before she died. There are only a few pics of her as she was so self-concious but in the younger ones you can see that she was a vibrant young woman!
I made this book using a new TANDO CREATIVE product. This little book has chippie covers but all the pages are self-laminating, opening up loads of possibilities. It also comes in other pretty shapes. Do pop over to see what they make & to find their suppliers.
I used Websters Pages throughout, my own chippie embellishments, mulberry roses & some bling . on some pages I have laminated the backgrounds & added embellies on top & some stamping.
(Must check that stamp...there is a spelling mistake hahaha)
This next pic is the last full face one that we have as this is before more radical surgery.
I really wish that I could have met this couragous woman but these pictures tell such a story. Thank you for taking a look today, HUGS XXX

What an inspiring woman. It's such a dreadful illness and there are very few of us who's life hasn't been touched by it in one way or other.
