COOKING UP A STORM???

Well not exactly but I have been working with some VERY CUTE cooking chippie hehe! They come in small or large versions...I used the small ones. I just love the teensy fork...the prongs are perfectly cut and that kettle is adorable isn't it?

For my first project I covered a cookery book for my daughter. You know...the ones that you write your own recipes in....she is getting into cooking at last haha! I gesso'd the pieces first then coloured the handles to match the paper (mmm...looks pink in the photo doesn't it, but it really does match ) and painted the blades etc with a silver krylon pen. The chefs hat has been painted white & glossy accented, then glued onto my daughters head. The little plate is an oriental stamp I have. I covered the timer with matching paper and glued it onto some ribbon to make a bookmark for the book. The whole idea was to make it look like a place setting...I think it works.

I had some pieces left and used them to make a set of ATC's....yes, the pieces are that dinky :D I love the kettle & immediatly thought of 'Polly put the kettle on'.

For the other ATC's I have used images from a book which I thought were appropriate for the chippie piece. Loving that saucepan!!!

There is so much fun to be had with cutesy chippie like this isn't there?  Do go and take a look at all the TANDO CREATIVE range...Di is so very clever at designing.  There are some tutorials on this site as well and we are gradually adding to them.  Oh and take a look HERE for the stockists!!!  Thank you for looking today, take care, HUGS XXX

Oh you are so imaginitive! I will have to have a look for some shops that sell tando I went on their blog thay have great stuff but I couldn't find any links to shops that they supply to (or am I just blind?) Have to say again how cool the dress is for June too (so delish) I have to get some time I am thinking of having a word with the new Dr Who I would really like to make these dresses for the challenges. I even bought hangers!

The matirial for the bag No not Cath Kidson but very likey likey CK material like this one starts at aroun £18 per meter I bought mine from Hobby Craft for £10.99 per meter not cheap I still had to get some lining as well for £7.99 Some kind person suggested I could sell them they wers so beautiful but I would have to seel them for aroun £35 to make it worth my while and I still think that is way too exp for a wee bag lol But cheaper than CK I have a CK from tesco (remember when thay first started getting re-usable bags?) I paid £3 ha ha I have it still But I love my home made one lots lol

Love Dawn xx
