DRESS IT UP - JULY!

Its that time again folks!!!  Its my July (already?) dress for the lovely  MARGARET'S DRESS IT UP CHALLENGE!  Its carnival week down here in our little town so I thought along the lines of a suitable frock for Carmen Miranda....though without the fruit hahahaha!!!  Once again I used the super-talented and super-inspirational Gini's template that she kindly sent me, thanks sweetie XXX

Ages ago I got a grab bag of ribbons. You know the type....you look through & find that only one or two are actually to your taste & the rest is just NOT!!!!  Being a hoarder, I kept the wide patterned ones and one of these came in for this dress!!!  I gathered it down the middle before I stuck it on my base with a few sead beads.  The base has been tortured with distress inks & embossing.

Do pop over to Margarets blog to have a look at all the other wonderful dresses that have been made!!!  Lots of HUGS XXX

Now how cute is this dress! I so love it when you save supplies, never sure when they will come in handy, then one day you find the absolute perfect use for them. Such is the case for the ribbon you used on this dress. The seed beads are the perfect touch, too. I really love this strapless beauty.

Brilliantly creative Karen, a stunningly unique creation!

I bought one of those mixed bags and wondered what on earth to do with the very wide ribbon, now I've got some ideas, thank you.

A big thank you for your kind words about me :-)
