(NOT SO) SWEET 16!!!!

mmm...sweet 16...now who knows a sweet 16yr old with all those hormones jumping around all over the place?????  I only know one and its a he!!!!  Bless him!!!!

The challenge over at STAMPOTIQUE DESIGNERS CHALLANGE BLOG (set by my lovely friend Kaz)is to make a card for a not too sweet 16yr old.  I mean, at that age they really don't want flowers & pretty bunnies do they??  The girl this card is intended for is actually going to be 15 this week but what the heck.....she is 15 coming on 30 if you know what I mean hahaha!!!

Thank you for taking a look today, LOVE & HUGS XXXX

Gorgeous Karen. Lovely colours & a great sentiment for a youngster to take on board. The tiny bit of bling is perfect.xx

I was really taken by that gorgeous background. Of course I want to know how to make it, but I guess that's a SHHHHH secret. Upon close inspection of the card (after getting past the lovely background), I see I have that same swirly stamp. Actually, it's borrowed, but I've used it. You did a great job with it in a super non-conventional card.

To answer your question about tea dyed paper, I have been dying paper each week when I drink tea. It's fun to do after I have all the tea I can drink. So far I have found this tea today to leave a lovely pink on the page, but the best so far has been the blueberry tea I will be making again in a couple of weeks. It's amazing the different shades you get (dyed paper) from different teas. Thanks for the dyeing hint.

Did my comment go through? I think I forgot to add the word verification. If not, please just delete this message, since I can't tell one way or the other.

I like the sentiment very much I have a 16 yr old just left high school and off to colledge next week so it really fits with many 16 yr olds although think would be a wee bit stuck as to what to put on a card for him he's 17 this month better get my thinking cap on ;0)

Love Dawn xx
