Mermaids with attitude!

Hi there lovely blogging friends!  Sorry that my posts are spreading out these days...there is so much wedding stuff to do , which is good but I do miss my other crafting!  But to keep me sane-ish I am still taking my journal to the sofa in the evenings hahaha!  I am very lucky to have got hold of the new Stampotique mermaids...can't pronounce their names, yet alone spell them hahaha!  Looking at what some have done with them they look all airy & full of nicety but somehow mine look dark...or is it in my colouring & what I had in mind for my journalling???

Maybe painting them yellow/green didn't help hahahaha!!!  I used newspaper strips coloured with wax crayone to represent the waves whilst the rock is layered newspaper painted up.  The mermaids are coloured with Inktense.  Apart from their tails they remind me of those ghoul type creatures at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark....is that just me??? haha!  Thank you for taking a look today.  I promise that I am playing with chippie but I just can't show you today :(  HUGS XXX

Oh but you haven't entered this one in the SDC28 and it fits with the bookpages theme! You still have time to enter.

The S's are looking mighty fine and I love the background you've created.
Yes they do..to Raider of the lost arc. She starts off looking beautiful and then turns hideous if memory serves me right (which is possibly unlikely) and then she zaps them all! Gotta love her no nonsense style ;-)
Glad to see everything is going well for your family!
