Using fabric on a card!

oooops!!!!  I missed the boat for the entry to last weeks Just For Fun challnge to use fabric :-( I had in my head that the theme changed on fridays...never mind, I am still going to blog it!!!!

I used muslin for the background & spritzed with glimmer mists.  The fabulous Masai warrior is from Clarity Stamps & I have layered him up with a new outfit & used a coctail stick for his spear, although it wasn't quite long enough!

Thank you for popping along to take a look today, have a fabulous weekend won't you?  HUGS xxx

Love his paper pieced robes and the cocktail stick was a great idea! The frayed edges on the muslin look great too - lovely card!

what a lovely card! Love the coloring on the cloth and that you gave the guy a stick. Very clever.

Love your colours Karen and the way your warrior's clothing matches the backing for the sentiment.

Now I just love everything about your card Karen, everything including the little scattered beads.
His spear is long enough to heard sheep but possibly not long enough to bring down one of your Tando elephants, so I suppose it could be long enough depending on what he is wanting to do with it.
I have bought some bamboo skewers to supplement my crafting stash but I tend to use them cut up as back supports for freestanding card cutouts but a bamboo skewer would certainly give him one long enough for anything plus he would have a nice sharp point on his end.
I will sleep better now I have set the spear issue to rights :-)

Hi Karen, love the vibrant colours and the use of fabric for the background. It really does portray a scene from a land far away.

Karen another wonderful piece of artwork from you! Love the fabric and the warrior fits perfectly.

:)

ps I don't think his spear is too short ..... do you prefer long ones then? ;) x
