Anchors Away!

Hellooo! Continuing with the Gold, Silver, Bronze week over at ~Tando Creative Blog~ I had a root around in my box of tricks and found this Tando Anchor (11.5cm). This was one of the 1st Tando pieces nearly 3 years ago!!!!!

I covered it with a mix of string, beads and tissue paper before painting it pale blue. Then I rubbed silver Inka Gold over it before adding a chain and some beads etc.  Its new home will be on a doorknob somewhere haha!

Thank you for taking a look today.   HUGS xxx

Fantastic work there Karen it looks 3D with all the string detailing.

It would look great on the knob to the bathroom. :)

This is fabulous honey, a wonderful example/lesson in creating texture with things everyone has lurking in their cupboards ha ha.

I can see you have gone a bit "nautical" Karen. Nice card and the anchor is gorgeous.

As for my WORDPLAY die it isn't as bad as the previous one and I did have a long chat with the Sizzix Rep (who was the one at the Extravaganza) Will be trying it out in a Bigshot on Monday as it could be my Cuttlebug to blame but I now know how to sort out the couple of letters which don't work that well. Hiya Karen - just loving this anchor... I came to say that this would look great hanging in a bathroom somewhere - and whatdoyouknow... someone else has had the same thought as me... great minds!!!

I do like this and how you've used string for a 3d effect... I was going to use rolled up tissue paper on a project of mine (same one i've referred to in another comment) - but realise from seeing this, that string is a much better - and probably easier option.
