Please Stop Here Santa!

Hi, we are 'going big' over at The Craft Barn this week using Woodwares range of HUGE words!!!  I chose to use 'Santa' to create a very simple hanging for a doorknob (or wherever takes your fancy :D ) on Christmas Eve!!!  Its so easy the kids could make one with a little help.  Great for keeping them amused in the build up to the big day!!!

I used a page from the Tando Creative scalloped mini book for the base. There are 6 pages so a good buy if you want to make a lot of these to sell! I used PaperArtsy Crackle Glaze over a painted Snowflake base with Tinned Peas on the top. The 'Santa' was stamped onto white card and embossed with black and then coloured with Copics - Strong Red and Cool Gray - before covering with clear glitter glue. When it was dry I fussy cut it and added some Sparkle Medium Diamond and a small pom-pom (from my stash) to the hat.

Glue this to the board and add some Sparkle Medium in Bright Red around the edges. Stamp 'I've been so good...' onto white cardstock, cut out and attach as shown. Add computer generated 'Please Stop Here' printed in a similar font. Tie some red twine through the holes to hang.  As I said I have kept it simple but you can really embellish this up :D

There are no links this week as The Craft Barn are in the middle of changing their web provider but all will return to normal soon :-D

Thank ou so much for taking a look today, HUGS xxx

Great work Karen. I hope Father Christmas reads and does what it says on the sign. :)

Those big words are fun, aren't they? I got to play with the snow one for the last CS mag. Great sign, kids (of all ages) would love it, I'm sure!

Lovely door hanger. I could have done with one for the tooth fairy as the hospital threw my tooth away so she forgot to come visit me :( BJ
