My 'Happy/Smile' Jar!

Hellooooo!  I had one of these last year and it was lovely to open it up and read all the lovely memories on New Years Eve!  When you look back and think that you have had an awful year it makes you realise that there were some amazing moments!  So when we were asked to have a go with glass paints at The Craft Barn I knew what I wanted to do!  I found a pretty jar in the back of a kitchen cupboard that had had home-made jam in and tarted it up...

I know I can't paint a circle so moving swiftly on...the lid...

and a close up of the tag...

- Thoroughly wash and dry the jam jar. Using the Pebeo Vitrail Paints paint random circle. Leave to dry and apply a second coat. Leave to dry.

- Using a very fine brush or an old pencil apply dots around the circles. When dry paint the top and bottom of the jar.

- Using white card punch out a label with the Woodware Punch and colour with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. Stamp and emboss in Blue Tinsel the Smile quote from PaperArsty Hotpick XT04. Decorate the jar with fancy ribbons, threading the label on as you go.
It is now looking like a ray of sunshine on my sideboard!  So...have you made a 'Happy' jar???

Thank you for taking a look and keep smiling! HUGS xxx

I love your wonky circles and orange is such a happy colour:D Think I may just go and make one too! You are a very good influence. I hope you're keeping warm and dry! Hugs Gay xxx
