The train has been painted with acrylics and I use special Clear Chalkboard Paint for the inside. This paint is amazing... its by DecoArt , the bottle is big and it lasts forever!!! So all you Mums of tiddlies out there who don't fancy black boards give this a try! The train comes with a little attachable tray to hold the chalk but I decided not to use it this time.
