Skater tag!

Hello, its Karen here with a tag that I have made using this months pretty colour scheme.

I used a lovely *Ice-Skate* from a pack of 6 as the centre piece.  The 'spots' were made using the new *Mini Mask - Sequins*  These mini masks are fabulous for areas!  The spots were then covered with *DecoArt Liquid Glass*  which is fabulous stuff!  The skate was mounted onto some painted corrugated card then onto some glittery card.  Some wide organza ribbon, wire and a bead finished my tag off.  I will be adding a sentiment at a later date.  Here is the colour theme...

Thank you for taking a look today.
Hugs, Karen x

Just Tagging along!

Helloooo!  This time I am playing with TAGS.  Usually these end up decorating my craft room but these have been made to actually use on presents :D   I had some scraps of home decorated paper that I used at bases and went from there.

The Sewing Tag - I used my lovely friend GIOVANNA'S SPIRAL MASK and dabbed blue over it onto the background to give depth.  Then I decorated the COTTON REELS & SCISSORS, used a scrap of lace and a PC generated saying.  This mask isn't available for retail yet but you can buy it from a supplier.

These are available in small or large...

The Steampunk Tag - I used some Sparkle Medium through Tando's COG MASK for this one.  The HEART is from the Mini Range and has been painted & glossy accents added.  Some stamped wings, word and a little tag finish it off.

You get loads of these hearts in a bag...

The Flower Tag -  used Sparkle Medium again but through a lovely LONG FLOURISH MASK.  I added a painted & sparkled BUTTERFLY and finished off with paper flowers and a stamped saying.

All but Gio's mask (will be soon) are available on our RETAIL SITE so grab a cuppa and have a good browse, especially at our Christmas goodies and new designs :D

Thank you so much for calling by, please leave a comment if you have the time, HUGS xxx

Triangles and Wonky Trees

Sometimes you need little tags for your Christmas parcels don't you? As its triangle week at *The Craft Barn* I was having a poke through their website (all changed and super swanky now) and I spotted these little Tando Creative Wonky Trees, which are wonky triangles so fit the brief happily! If you have a lot of tags to make up then these are perfect for a 'production line'.

I took some plain white card and painted it with DecoArt Festive Red, which is a lovely metallic paint. When dry I punched the tags out using a large Woodware punch. Then I over stamped with Dylusions Christmas Backgrounds (stars) using Brilliance Moonlight White. The trees have been painted with Pebeo Green Yellow iridescent paint which has a lovely glow to it. The trunks have been painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Chocolate Pudding and had Glossy Accents applied. The stars at the top of the trees have been glittered. I also glittered around the edges of the tags. Green twine finished them off.  Easy Peasy!!!!!! :-D

If you pop over to *The Craft Barn Blog* you will see that it has undergone a big change.  Best thing is that most of our projects now have a FREE downloadable PDF of instructions if you fancy having  a go too!

Thank you for popping by my lovelies xxx

Playing with Tartan!

Hi!!!  This week over at The Craft Barn Blog we are playing with TARTAN!  We can use ribbon, paper...whatever we choose to achieve it.  I have made up my tartan using Pebeo Studio acrylics and a Tando Creative Bamboo Background Mask. First I covered some white card with the Irridescent Green Yellow (this has a gorgeous shimmer) then used the mask to apply Cerulean Blue. When that was dry moved the mask and added Naph Tol Carmine. I added extra lines with a black fineliner.

I used my tartan paper to cover a tag. This has been decorated with some teensy bobble trim and lace from my stash. I also concertina'd some leftover tartan and added to the bottom of the tag. The Crafty Individual robin and a computer generated sentiment finish the tag.

That's another tag done for Christmas hahahaha!!!!!  Thank you for looking, HUGS XXXXX

Around the World -Suitcase Tag!

Hellooo, wouldn't that be amazing???  A Round-the-World ticket???  I have to be content with UK holidays though but I don't really mind as I have done some travelling in the past.  So...Around the World is the theme this week over at *The Craft Barn Blog*.  I have chosen to make a tag for my smaller suitcase...this is the one that I use for weekend and as it doesn't go through the airports its quite safe!

I  have used a small Tando Creative frame for the base and painted it up with Fresco paints.  The 'blobs' are modelling paste (mixed with paint to colour it) through a Tando Creative Sequin mask.  I love this mask as it has different sizes on it...

I found a quote on *Quote Garden* to fit the theme.  (I really don't know where I would be without that site...its amazing!!!!)   A chain, charm and clip were added to finish it off.  HUGS XXXXXXXXXXX

Is your bobbin full???

It seems ages since I made a tag...so naughty of me as I really like making them.  Its TAG week over at *Tando Creative* and I have used the small sewing set for my tag.

Lots of paint and stamping has been thrown at this, along with some fabric, trimming and lace!  Doesn't it look like I embossed the chipboard?  I didn't, its a lace stamp using Brilliance ink!

Here is the Sewing set from Tando nekkid...you get a lot in this set and the chipboard is TOP quality!!!
