A clock thats not a clock haha!

Hello!  My project for you today is using Tando-Creative's chosen colour theme for this week.  I have used a PRINTER TRAY STYLE CLOCK as the background for my project.  I haven't made it into a working clock this time.  I added a STEAMPUNK CLOCK FACE to it to add more depth.

The colour scheme:

The back of the clock was painted with the 'red' colour and crackled with PVA and cream acrylic.  The frame has had the other colours in the picture dabbed onto it before adding CLEAR CRACKLE.
Rows of little stamped houses were added along with a MINI HEART and a quote.  I stuck a loop on the back to hang it up by.

I used:
Printer Tray Style Clock Kit

Steampunk Clock & Hands

If you fancy making something using our chosen colours this month then please enter our challenge.  Take a look at the link page at the top of the blog :-D

Thank you for popping by today, hugs, Karen x

Guest Designer at The Craft Barn

Hellooooo....another clock :-D  I have been asked to be a guest designer at The Craft Barn this week!  Lovely to keep my hand in...or hands hahaha!!!!  The prompt is a clock of some sort.  Now I was going to use the gorgeous Tando Train but sadly there just isn't room for a clock face on it so I went for a canvas instead.  The canvas is around A4 to give you an idea of size.

Lots of texture and sparkly medium on this canvas :-D

- Cover the canvas in Amethyst Fresco paint and quickly, using a scrunched up paper towel dab some off again. Using a fresh piece of paper towel each time dab some Chalk and Guacamole over the top. Leave to dry.

- Add Chalk Fresco Paint through the Tando Heart Mask in areas on the canvas. Using chalk again add circles and lines using a bottle top and a piece of card. Leave to dry.

- Add Amethyst Sparkle Medium through the Flourish and Clock masks as shown in the picture. Leave to set.

- When dry add the clock mechanism to the centre of the clock face and add a gem on the top. Add a computer generated saying and finish off with some Versamagic in Pretty Petunia around the edge of the canvas.

I hope you like!  Take care out there, HUGS xxx

Kiddies Week for Tando Creative

Hellooo!!!!  Its Kiddies Week over at Tando Creative this week...a chance for us to have a bit of fun with the products.  Not that we don't normally but you know what I mean hahaha!  I have taken the lovely Fairy Castle Chalkboard and made a pretty clock for my 6yr old niece.

Its a good size for a wall and I know Millie will love it!!!!  I painted the base with Fresco paints and stamped some swirls lightly as well as adding some some lightly stencilled flowers at the bottom.  The top section was smothered with texture paste.  When that was dry I painted it with more Fresco and added a clear glitter paint to add a bit of sparkle.  I painted 12 mini flowers to put the numbers on.  (the numbers have been stamped and cut out & stuck onto the flowers)  A hole in the centre of the base was made for the clock mechanism and a pretty paper circle was added.  The same paper was used to make flags for the turrets.  PLEASE NOTE - this castle DOES NOT COME WITH A CLOCK MECHANISM but they are easy to get hold of and pretty inexpensive.

Here it is nekkid...

Don't panic if you have a little boy though as there is a gorgeous TRAIN in the same range which could be turned into a clock as well

Thank you for taking a look today, lots of hugs xxx
