CHOCOLATE GIVES YOU WINGS!

Yes, thats right...forget about the drink advert! A woman knows its really chocolate hahahahaha. I had a gorgeous little octagonal box which I decorated for the Bubbly Scrumptious Blog.

Sadly...or not hehe....there were a few tears while I made this one. The pretty pearl beading came off my wedding dress from way back in 1984. My daughter tried it on and said it was old fashioned (hahaha) and I didn't want anyone else to wear it so it is no more now! But I do have some lovely pictures and memories of a fantastic day.

As I was unpicking it I remembered how long it took me to tack it on before covering the tape with ribbon. But the dress is no more now and I am left with about a mile of these pearls and the lace as well!!!!

If you would like to see how I made this then take a look -here- . Oh and the chocolates are from Thorntons, a pressie from my hubby beacause I was feeling under the weather....ahhhh bless him! Thank you for taking a looksee. Happy crafting XXXX

Karen, that is so sweet about your wedding dress and I bet you had some lovely memories too. I love your little adorable box too, colours are lovely. You've given me some inspiration now. XX

The box is beautiful Karen. Love the little pearls. How feminine. I need to get myself a big bar of wings now! HAHA!

Karen, so interesting about your wedding dress. I see the ballroom gowns that now serve as wedding dresses and feel sadness and a little disgust. The old-fashioned dresses were really special. You are very brave to pick it apart. The box is so gorgeous.

What a lovely story and a great idea of how to keep those memories.

Awww, what a shame she couldn't have had it remodelled! Nice that you're finding a use for the various bits and pieces from the dress and that you enjoyed some nice memories while you took it apart! Off to BS now!
