NEW YEAR - BIG CHANGES!!!

First of all I want to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR & DECADE!!!  I haope that you all have good fortune & lots of crafting fun in 2010 XXX

Now, you will remember that am on the DT for BUBBLY SCRUMPTIOUS CHALLENGES??? Well, we have decided that that challenge blog will be no more and we have set up a completely new blog in a slightly different direction.  The new challenge blog is called

Our aim is to get you all to think about other types of crafting ( as well as paper & ink) and to make lots of gifts for the home & friends!  Now this will be a MONTHLY challenge so that you have plenty of time to come up with something, if you choose to join in.  Wouldn't it be great to have a selections of gifts all ready for next Christmas????

We have a lovely bunch of DT members too so that there is plenty of variety in our samples.  Enough waffling here are my takes...

No1...I used beer mats for these and covered one side with embossed mirri card & then added a sealant.  The backs have different colour felt on to match the box.  The box is made from a cup-a-soup container!!!  Oh & thanks you Cheryl for the little easel XXX

No2... these are made completely from fabric.  The tops are from tweed (which I interfaced to make sturdy) and I have used patterned cotton for the hearts & to make the binding.  Again these are backed with felt.  Of the 2 these are my faves as my first love has to be fabric!

I am hoping to use fabric a lot with these challenges as there are some lovely ideas coming your way!!! I hope I can inspire you all to have a go.  Please pop over to see what the DT have made...they are all sooo different!!!  LOTS OF NEW YEAR HUGS XXX

These are great as is the new challenge blog Karen. I love the idea of the funky coloured hearts on the solid colour of the tweed. Very effective.

The silver ones look like metal. :)
