VANILLA SUGAR.....FABRIC ALBUM

Helloooo from a very sunny Cornwall!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at VANILLA SUGAR....sweetly handmade!  Can't believe its the 1st March already....lets hope it warms up now eh!  The challenge this month is to make a fabric book of some kind.  I have love doing this, the only problem being in deciding which fabric to use.  In the end I plumped for cottons after thinking about tweeds for a while haha.  I have followed Kathy's Waffle Sketch 2009#17 for my inspiration. Kathy has some amazing sketches for us all to use, do go and see!

I covered a cheapy 8x8 scrapbook and used bookbinding glue to attach the fabric after I had done all the decoration.  I was going to make a removable cover but then the book would not expand :(.  I wasn't originally going to put lace down the sides but being a mucky mare I got a mark on it hahahahaha

Everything on here, apart from the buttons, is fabric and its very touchy feely!!!!  I was going to make a baby fabric book but I felt it would be bad luck until my step-daughter is passed the early stage don't you?

Do pop over to have a look at what the other DT members did...there is some outstanding work...and do have a go at this fun idea! HUGS XXX

This is gorgeous Karen. The colours and patterns chosen remind me on Candyland by Rusty Pickle which I adore!
