A mixology in Pink!

Hi there!  Today I have something different from what I normally do but I did enjoy making it up!  Its a kit from the Tando Creative Ministry of Mixology Retreats.  These retreats take place a couple of times a year and they are a LOT of fun :-D

Anyway, I chose to work with Andy Skinners Frame which is quite a chunky beast!  People use all sorts of wonderful painty, grungy techniques on these kits but I have chosen to do something different.  I am using paper!!!!...and its PINK!!!!  Not normally Andy's thing at all!

I glued all the MDF parts together before painting them lightly in mauve acrylic over black gesso..  The sections of chipboard have been covered in some paper that I had had for ages, just waiting for a project like this :-D.  These tiles were then grunged up a bit around the edges.

Before I attached the 'lid' I added the stamped and coloured skull and 'neck'...

I would love to tell you whose stamp this is but I can't remember and there was no label, sorry.  I just add to add some very pink feathers for the poor souls hair!

I couldn't resist adding some black lace and some black paper flowers to finish this off and make it a bit more girly.  The letters are old metal ones that I coloured black with a Sharpie pen.

Thank you for popping by my lovelies, take care xxx
