Fun at The Craft Barn Extravaganza!

Hi, I made it back to Cornwall from Surrey unscathed :-D  What a fantastic weekend!!!!!  It was busy and full of lovely crafters of all types to chat to & demo for.......fabulous!  There were also some incredible crafters demo-ing which made me feel pretty humble! This wasn't work, this was FUN!  ~Di Oliver~ and I had decided to make a real impact with our products this year & we were lucky enough to be given 3 tables to display & demo with Tando Creative and what a difference it made too, especially as we had a corner!  The DT amazingly came up with loads of examples for us to show along with our own...

The two ends...

Tando had some new releases for the weekend...a set of clocks.  Sorry they are a bit plain but I didn't have too much time to make these up :(  You have already seen the round one so here are the other 2 designs...the tall clock...

the cuckoo style clock...

For the Extravaganza I worked on another tall clock, decorating it with stamped butterflies...

A massive thank you to all those people who took the time to come along and to my lovely friends (old & new) who gave me an encouraging hug.  I send you all one back xxx

TANDO OVAL MINI-FRAME

Hi there lovely bloggettes...are you enjoying the lovely sunshine that we have down here in Cornwall again today????  At least there is a breeze today!!!!

I have been DT-ing for a couple of days and been playing with a very pretty little oval frame from TANDO CREATIVE.  Its around 4&a half inches wide to give you an idea of size and comes complete with its own little stand.  The stand comes apart again easily if you wanted to post your frame.  Here it is nekkid hehe...

I have kept my frame fairly plain for this project as I had just the right picture for it to give as a gift. The photograph is of my daughter and her fiance and I love the colours in it. It does look like I have really cropped the picture but thats how the photographer took it...off page sort of.  First I glued string all around the inside and outside edges. Then I painted glue inbetween and added in some micro beads.

When it was dry I painted the whole thing with gold acrylic paint. I treated the little heart shapes on the stand the same way. Where there was a 'join' in the string I added some ribbon, some beads & a love charm to match my daughters hair!!!

Thank you for looking today, be back soon!!!  Hugs XXX

Rosie-Dee's Challenge 45 reveal & sneaky 46!!!

Hellooooo!!! Here is my full pic of the DT card I did for Rosie-Dee's this week. The theme was 'Sympathy'. I never make sympathy cards as I find them too hard so have to confess to buying them!!! But I rose to the challenge and have to say that it was very hard!!!

The card is around A5 in size. I printed off a sheet of Abide with Me music and then cut an oval in the middle. I scruffed & inked it before sticking to the front of the card. The lovely chunky rose sits over the oval. The sentiment is PC generated. A black bow finishes it off.

...and just to be naughty again, here is a sneaky of tomorrows challenge!!!

Please pop over to Rosie-Dee's Cahllenge tomorrow around 6ish to see what their new challenge is.....the theme changes too!!! HUGS XXX

Rosie-Dees Challenge week 42

Me again!!! Do you remember that I put up a sneaky peek at the beginning of the week???? It was my design for the Rosie-Dees Challenge week 42 - sketch. The theme for July is OCCASIONS and this week we were free to pick an occasion as long as we worked from the sketch provided.
The Sketch

I chose to make a birthday card as I have severe need of them this month haha. Now why do birthdays seem to come in batches???

The background paper is K&Co and the stamp is one of my favourites by Elusive Images. The pearls round the lady are yet more taken from my old wedding dress.....it had a long train haha!!! I added some lovely soft velvet ric-rak and some blue lace.
Please pop over to see what the other design team member did for this...everyone has a different take on the sketch!
Look out for a sneaky peak tomorrow for next weeks theme!!! Thank you for taking a look HUGS XXXX
