know...a while ago I said that I didn't want to see another Tando House for ages hahaha! But when it comes to miniature anything I just had to reach for one :D Its 'Miniature' week over at *The Craft Barn Blog* !!!! I turned my little house into a sewing room with the help of a sewing machine charm!
The houses come flat all ready for glueing together so it makes it easy to decorate first, I used paint and stamps for this. I covered the roof with teensy bobble trim...
Can you see that I made a little door??? Bet you want to know whats inside eh?
I had sooo much fun putting this together, hope you like it! HUGS XXXXX

Incense Holder using circles
Its all about circles over at *The Craft Barn Blog* this week, especially for my lovely sister Dawn :D
I found a teensy bottle of whisky at the back of the cupboard and added the tube container to a set of Tando Circles to make a container for my incense sticks. (The whisky was demolished for medical research purposes of course hahaha!!!)
I used all but one of the circles in the pack, glueing them in pairs before stacking them. The papers are by Craft Individuals. added mulberry roses, lace & butterflies for decoration. The butterflies are also by Tando Creative.

Upcycling!
Hi! We crafters all recycle/upcycle, some more than most. I have a cupboard full of little boxes & tins but half the time forget they are there...daft really! This week over at The Craft Barn Blog we are all about recycling. I dug out one of the little tins from my cupboard and had a play.
This tin had mints in...one of those freebie advertising ones my hubby seems to get :D
I covered the tin with alcohol inks and added lace across the logo. The little flowers from Tando have been painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Paint with crackle accents on top. The leaves are punched from card. Its the perfect size for holding pins!!! If it looks familiar....I made it to go with my altered tape measure from a little while ago...
Thank you for looking today, warm HUGS xxx

Altered Dictionary - R
Helloooo, has Spring arrived where you are yet? Would be nice wouldn't it?
Its time for another entry in my Altered Dictionary for the challenge over at *The Craft Barn*. This time the prompt is for the letter 'R'.....R for RHUBARB! Love it or hate it, its an interesting looking fruit. Dangerous though as its very poisonous if eaten raw and can still give you a tummy ache if its not very fresh, so please be careful!
I have some more folded pages to show as I have tucked 2 pages behind each other to make smaller pages/flaps.
This is all a little mad with all the colours but I do like it! I popped some recipes behind the flaps....Rhubarb Muffins & Compote (which you use in the muffins or on its own). Here you are...
The picture of the rhubarb came from the internet and the recipes came from a fabulous foodie site... www.abelandcole.co.uk where I get my fantasticaly fresh veggie box from :D
I am loving looking at all the entries so a big thank you to all those who enter!!!! Thank you for taking a look today, HUGS xxx

Hellooooo! Over at The Craft Barn Blog this week the DT are making lots of mini books if you fancy a go!!!! I have made a Maze Book...haven't done these for a while!
.
I used plain card/paper for the insides and then added a bit of paint to make it more interesting. The card covers have been covered with some Crafty Individual papers and a Tando Music piece added. The tags are all punched out using a Woodware punch.
If you would like to make one of these little books take a look at this You Tube video *HERE* .

Harbour canvas
Helloooo! I am here again with my Craft Barn Blog DT hat on :D. When I first looked at this Scene It stamp set I have to admit that my heart did drop a little! But when I thought about it I realised that you could have a lot of fun :D Coming from a seagull infested area I wasn't put off by the seagulls in the set and actually, dare I say it, thought they were quite cute hahaha!!!!
I have used a 7x5 canvas to show off these stamps. Of course my house is the one on the hill....so that I can see whats going on hahaha! I hope that you have a good view from your windows, HUGS xxx

Black Beauty - film
Hellooooo! Now this was a tricky prompt to do as there are so many films that I love! But in the end I settled with 'Black Beauty' for my Craft Barn Blog piece this week. You cannot fail to be moved by this beautiful horses plight. I have done a journal page for this one...
Its a very simple page as I wanted the horse to really stand out. I have made him by pushing modelling paste through a stencil then colouring him black before carefully cutting him out! A bit fiddly but worth it :D I just love the quote don't you?

Altered Dictionary - H
Its Altered Dictionary time over at The Craft Barn again...it doesn't seem like 2 weeks at all! This time we are looking at 'H'. I am still going with my fruit theme and have chose Huckleberry for my pages. A huckleberry is very like a blueberry and is mostly found in North America. But I just couldn't resist including that other huckleberry...as in Finn :D
I have drawn my own Mr Finn and although he isn't perfect I quite like his cheeky grin hahaha!
So...what are you planning to do with your 'H' ? Thank you for dropping by today, Take care xxx

Carnival Mask
Helloooo! I have had so much fun doing this :D I guess its because its something a bit different for you hahaha! This week on ~The Craft Barn Blog~ we are looking at Carnivals/Fairgrounds and I have altered a paper mache mask for you to see.
I bought a full face mask and cut it down for this. Painted it with DecoArt Metallic paint (you only need one coat...amazing!) and added some jewels and silver dots. A few feathers finished it off...easy peasy! Now...where is my invite to a masked Ball eh? hahaha HUGS x

Hi, its been a very long time since I crafted anything Oriental. When I saw the prompt for The Craft Barn blog I was determined to make a little book but it just never happened and it all ended up as a card - completely different with what was in my head hahahaha!!!!!
The pretty stamp set is by Kanban & has been cut out & stuck on after. The background is a mix of Distress Inks.

Hearts & more hearts!
Hellooo! Its all Tando for me over on ~The Craft Barn Blog~ today :D I have had a new release HEART WREATH to play with, along with some Tando Mini's.
This is a fairly large wreath - a 12x12 piece of paper just about fitted on the bottom. The Tando Mini's are perfect for this type of decoration too! I intend to eventually mount it onto a large canvas when I can find a round one!

I made a TEABAG haha!
Yes...I definitely made a teabag :D We often go away for weekends and I usually don't like the tea that the hotel
provides in the rooms so I take my own supply! So I have made a little bag to
put them in.
For the bag cut a rectangle of fabric around 14 x 5 inches (I used calico) and decorate. I stamped mine with a background stamp and some words from a PaperArtsy Hotpick using Brilliance Ink (pearlescant orchid) and Memento Ink(Grape Jelly).
Fold the fabric in half and stitch up each side to around 3inches from the top. Turn. Now fold down the top edge to meet the stitching. Stitch a line across 1/2 inch down. Tuck a small hem under along the raw edge and stitch to form a channel. Repeat for other side. These channels are where your cord will go. I also added a little decorative stitching round the top.
Take the 2 smallest ~Tando Creative~ cups from the Mug and Cups Grab Bag and decorate with paint, not forgetting the other sides!

Take a piece of cord/ribbon around 14inches long and thread through one channel and then on through the other channel. ( I used a paperclip for this.) Making sure that your bag is flat tie a knot close to the sides of the bag. Repeat using another cord but going in the opposite direction. Add beads and a cup & saucer as in the pic. Voila!!!! I made a teabag hahahaha!!!!!
Its all about having a CUPPA over at ~The Craft Barn Blog~ this week so do pop over for a look at all the DT makes.

Heart pendant
Hellooooo!!!!!
This week over at ~The Craft Barn Blog~ we are playing with Vintage. Vintage are all about metal items for altering from jewellery pieces, charms, blanks and embossing folders to the Patina Paint to cover them with. There are some lovely pieces to choose from! I don't make much jewellery but I was struck by this gorgeous heart. You add paint them rub it down so that the relief stands out. Sorry the picture isn't too good, it was a tricky one to get right!

Altered Dictionary -V is for Victoria Plums
haha! No, not the 70's doll but real fruit :D I just LOVE these and have a load that I stewed way back in the summer in my freezer ready for when I fancy a crumble :D
This is the start of the new challenge over at The Craft Barn Blog. Its an Alpha Challenge running once a fortnight. I have decided to alter a dictionary, mainly because I thought I had a few old ones lurking around. Could I find one??????? I ended up getting a large one from a cheap shop to alter. Enough waffle...here are my pages...
I couldn't do anything fancy this time as there are only a few 'V' pages. I do intend to use fruit for the whole dictionary and yes, I have found something for the awkward letters hahaha! I do hope that you will join us in this challenge and do pop over ~HERE~ to see what some of the DT have done for their letter 'V'.
Happy Crafting, HUGS xxx

Getting back to normal & exciting news!
Hello there! Is there anyone out there? haha Have you all had a lovely holiday? Mine was quietish with manic moments inbetween :D Its great to be back at my craft desk though!
The ~Craft Barn DT~ are all working with canvases this week. The shop stocks some gorgeous small ones and I have used a 15x15cm and a 7x5cm for my project! The teensy one comes in a pack of 2. Its lovely to be working on 'normal' stuff again after all the festive makes hahaha.

Both canvases were 'splodged' with watered down acrylics and a kitchen roll rolled over till I was happy with them. The scrolls have been silver embossed. The stamped images are by Crafty Individuals and have been coloured then clear embossed before stuck to the canvas. The cute teensy canvas has been edged with silver embossing and glued in place. The pretty butterflies were cut out of some Crafty Individual paper and the quote is PC generated.
This was going to be a Christmas present for someone but I still have it hahahaha!!!!! Now for the EXCITING NEWS. For 2013 The Craft Barn Blog are setting a fortnighly challenge called
THE ALPHA CHALLENGE
The idea is to use the dictionary to inspire you and then alter the relevant page! I have chosen a large 17x24cm dictionary to alter and will be playing right along side you all! A fabulous challenge to take you through the whole year, especially if you like journalling and altering books :D You can find more info ~here~. Here is the logo for you to put on your blogs. I do hope that you will join in!
Whatever your plans are I hope that you all have your dreams come true in 2013.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you for visiting, HUGS xxx

A Purr-fect Christmas?
Hi folks! Doing 'cute' is not really my thing so when The Craft Barn DT were asked to do just that I have to say that I hesitated hahaha! But I did come up with a Christmas card which is just perfect for a certain someone who is dotty about her new kitten!!!!!!
The background is distress inks overstamped with a Dylusions Christmas Backgrounds stamp...these are so funky! The cat is a favourite PaperArtsy stamp of mine and I have given it a Christmas hat with a pom-pom :D I added red glitter & glossy accents and PC generated wording.
I did something similar for my calendar page but without the glitter and being November its not Christmasy hahahaha!

Christmas Clock!
Yes, its another clock made up from one of the gorgeous Tando blanks. I think I have now made up 7 of these hahaha. But this time its as a member of the Design Team for ~The Craft Barn Blog~. We were asked to use Crafty Individual stamps on our clocks, especially the clock faces that they have produced especially to go with the Tando Clocks.
Splodge the lake & white acrylics onto the tando clock bases, except the centre where the clock face will go - keep this smooth. Stamp & emboss the clock face with silver and then add some silver Inca Gold to the rest. Add Transparent Viva Croco to all but the clock face.
For the background apply watered down sand & lake acrylic, blending as you go. Stamp & white emboss some snowflakes.

Watercolour the Crafty Individual stamps, clear emboss then cut out images. As you stick the background behind the 'windows' tuck the images in. Glue all the chipboard pieces together.
Hold them together with clips until dry. Paint the Tando Snowflake flourish & the Tando Sledge as shown and add transparent Viva Croco to the snowflakes & the sledge. Attach matching fibres around the edges.
Yes, I know its only August but Christmas crafting has to start somewhere hahaha!
From The Craft Barn:
Tando Creative: Cuckoo Clock, Snowflake Flourish, Santa& Sleigh
Crafty Individuals Christmas Stamps & clockface Stamp CI-354
Viva Croco Transparent

An Angel & some news :D
Hellooooo, lovely summer we are having ROFL!!!!! The weather is pretty dire here in the UK by any standards! Anyway, today I am showing you an Angel that I made using a Tando chipboard angel as a base. She is quite diddy at 3inches tall...
She was originally made for ~The Craft Barn Blog~ when I was a guest designer last month, for their Frontage week. Er....did I mention that I am now on their DT permenantly????? YAY!!!! I am so delighted and looking forward to working with some lovely goodies :D Anyway, back to the Angel. When she went travelling to the Craft Barn Extravaganza several people asked how she was made. She is pretty straightforward to put together if you would like to make one...I have put a tutorial ~here~ under the Tutorials (doh) header at the top of my blog. Here are her wings in close up and a pic of her nekkid hahaha
Today she is showing off over at the ~Tando Creative Challenge Blog~ where the challenge for this month is to use TEXTURE on your work. There are lots of amazing prizes up for grabs so do have a go :D Thank you for taking the time to pop over here today, HUGS xxx
