DCM...CHRISTMAS (!)

I know its only June but I suppose Jo had her reasons for asking us to make a Christmas card fro this weeks DCM dare. Probably being very sensible (!) and trying to startle us into making them earlier instead of getting in a faff in november hehe.

We were free to do whatever we wished as long as it was christmasy. She had me down on my hands and knees rooting at the back of a cupboard to bring out the box with all my christmasy stash in. Im so glad she did because I had forgotten what was in there really!!!!! Well it has been a while since I packed it all away hasn't it? Here's what I came up with:

I found some lovely papers that I had got in sale for this years cards. Its an unusual colour mix using grey as a background....a bit different I thought. So I cut the background from the Big Snowflakes paper and then topped that with a way-cut hammered card to look like snow. Although it doesn't show really I went over the flakes with crystal Stickles. The lovely snowmen are cut from a matching paper (which is covered in them) and then added with foam pads. The little tag has been stamped (can't remember where I got those) and threaded through a narrow red ribbon.

Ooops, nearly forgot the papers - American Traditional Designs - SnowDay Earthtones - Big Snowflakes & Happy Snowman

Thanks for looking and thanks for reminding me Christmas is coming Jo hehe XXX

It make a real change to see something a little different on Christmas cards and I think the Grey background paper you've used works well. Love the jolly little trio too!
