It wednesday so it must be TAG IT ON DAY! Do pop over there for a look at the beautful tag Dragon has made as well as get some inspration. Lots of fun to be had with this challenge....
"Please make a tag of any size or shape, with your interpretation of -
Treasure
It might be a colour scheme, Pirate doubloons, a treasured image, pet or person... it's entirely up to you, so long as it fits the idea of "treasure". Mine is the Fiery Dragon's Hoard, but that's only my interpretation!! As ever, please use at least one stamp, and please include a link to my blog, when you post your work on your own blog. It's surprising the number who don't!!"
To be honest my first thought with this one was to make a treasure map as I used to organise treasure trails when my kids were small. But then I thought of what treasure means to me. I thought about all the treasures in the World that I would love to see and the Taj Mahal came to mind.
After playing with distress inks I over stamped a map of India in green. The Taj Mahal is stamped & embossed in white on ordinary tracing paper (what a find...and as you can print on it too you can make your own vellum!!!). BUT the little pixies were at work again and although it started out straight the Taj went wonky when I wasn't looking hahahaha!!! The little charm says 'made with love' which I thought was appropriate.

This looks wonderful Karen, love the effect of the embossing on the tracing paper (and yes I agree - it's great stuff!)
Lovely tag Karen. Wonky is good!

Hi Karen, this is so original and well thought out, love the colours of course,
Re the cowslips, aren't they wonderful memeroies to cherish. It's a shame there are so few about now and I beleive illegal to pick which is a sad reflection on our current world and claimte. I confess that I dug some up in one of Dad's fiels years ago and planted in one of our paddocks and they are multiplying nicely now, they have a very slow growth process.
Have a good day.

Fab tag Karen - love the effect....x
Brilliant! Karen. You have been hard at work. Love your beads going across the bottom of the tag.
Let me know when you're going & I'll pack a bag too. :-D
Have a fabby weekend. Gez.xx

This is just stunning Karen. I love the map and the tracing paper is inspired. I shall have to try that.
Your colours are beautiful too. Oh I just love it.
