Hello, I have actually made a card!!!!! Don't do that often, apart from Christmas hahaha!!!
As its the 1st week of the month we are following a colour chart and February's looks like ice-cream haha! I created a painty background using the colours suggested and added a little light script stamping. The Tando *flower* and *leaf* have been painted the darker colours and edged with a white pen. The leaf has been glittered and paper flowers added to the centre of the flower. A little toning chiffon ribbon finishes it off.

Hi! I always say that I am not a big fan of vellum but I think I have found a better way to use it...paint the back!!!! Cheating a bit I know and it also loses its fine seethroughness (not a real word I know haha, but you know what I mean). This is what I have done to make the sea for this card...
A closer look at the vellum :-D
- Cut a piece of white card 12x14 cm. Stamp and emboss in Blue Tinsel the ship from the PaperArtsy Hotpicks stamp. Dilute some Fresco Chocolate Pudding and cover the card in a wash.
- Using Fresco Bora Bora and Eggplant paint strips of the vellum, one deeper than the other.
- When the vellum is dry cut along each colour with a Deckle edge cutter or scissors. With the painted side on the back rub Versamark over the edges and emboss with white powder. Attach to the stamped card using DS tape making sure that the painted sides of the vellum is fce down.
- Stamp and emboss the Compass and apply the same wash as the background. Cut out and attach to the card. Use a Promarker to add some detail to the embossed Ship image.
- Machine stitch (or faux stitch) around the edges and attach to the base card using foam pads. Tie some cord around the card to finish off.

Over at The Craft Barn we are taking another look at ACETATE, not my favourite thing I have to say. But I was inspired by the lovely and talented *Helen Shilton* to have a go at colouring a stamped image with alcohol ink. The secret is to paint the back to bring out the colours and also it takes away all that angst of attaching it!!!!!
The acetate section is 3D as its stuck on with sticky pads. Here is a close-up...

Hi my lovelies! I just LOVE the Autumn! or me there is nothing better than putting on a woolly jumper on a cold crisp day and going for a walk in the woods!!!! I am the big kid that you will see flicking dry leaves as she walks along the street! hahahahaha!
For this weeks project over at *The Craft Barn Blog* I have made a card using tall Tando leaves and lots of Autumnal colours. I have used Pebeo Studio paints on the leaves. If you haven't tried these yet then treat yourself to a tube or two....they have a gorgeous iridescent sheen to them.
I dabbed them with a mix of Pebeo High Viscosity paints until I was happy that they looked the right colours. While they were drying I got to the background. I used a piece of coffee card, stamped the Cover-a-Card Woodgrain stamp in Brilliance Gold before adding some Sparkle Medium through two Tando Masks. When it was all dry I assembled the pieces as shown, adding a bit of matching ribbon and a copper brad from my stash. The background has been mounted onto green card as has the PC generated quote, which I love! Here is a close up of all its sheeniness D

Impression Obsession Cover-a-Card - Woodgrain
Hellooo! I have been trying out the new-to-me Gelatos. For those that don't know what I am on about they are by Faber-Castell and look like crayons. They are water soluble and come in some amazing colours. But rather than be too ambitious I chose to keep it simple and make a card with my first play....a rather bright girly card :D
Using a piece of card and the Tropical set of Gelatos I just scribbled some random shapes. These were brought alive and blended with a wet finger (they blend beautifully). When dry I over stamped the piece with a Woodware Clear Magic Stamp (Grasses Background) using Archival Ink in Plum. While this was drying I coloured some card with the blue and stamped a sentiment in the same ink. These two pieces were mounted onto some silver Mirri Card. Impression Obsession Cover-a-Card in Craquelure was stamped onto a card blank using Brilliance Dewdrop Ink in Pearlescent Orchid. The card was assembled as shown and a matching ribbon added.

Hello :D We are having an 'all things ' *Andy Skinner* week at Tando hehe! If you haven't heard of this very clever and artistic man then go check out his blog. He does amazing things with paint that us mere mortals can only dream of!!!! Saying that though...I don't think he really thought I would actually paint his nails turquoise when I saw him last hahahaha!
(But where were you when I needed you Andy? I had a real lack of mojo for this. Its not as if I don't use his stencils/masks as I do most of the time! I guess it was just one of those weeks where I had other things on my mind. I have made up a card just using his masks (brilliant quality as are all Tando masks).)
All that mumbling above was last week hehe and even though I had this post all ready to go I tried again hahaha! This time I have used a 6x4inch flat canvas and just played!!!!! First I used the SUNBURST mask to add some Texture Paste then lots of layers of DecoArt paints on the background until I was happy (fingers are good for this). Then EVOLUTION was stencilled on with a dark blue acrylic and Treasure Silver rubbed around. I die cut some 'silver' metal to add to the bottom and wires were threaded for the top. Far better than the card I made hahaha!
Now I know that you 'need' to see the card as well so here it is...
I sprayed my craft mat with pinks and purples and swooshed my card onto it for the background. Using a stencil brush I added paint through the Baroque mask in PaperArtsy Fresco Lace and Eggplant. When that was dry I replaced the mask over the face and went over it again with an embossing pen before clear embossing it. Some painty circles, lines and doodling and I was done here. I stencilled similar colours through Burning Rubber mask down the side of a card blank. A painted & clear embossed heart from the Mini Range completes the look. These are the masks that I used...

Hello my friends! Its pink,pink,pink all the way over at *The Tando Creative Blog*' this week! All little girls like pink don't they??? Its my niece's 6th birthday soon so I have done a simple card using a pretty cat stamp by Roc Nicholas and added a little Tando butterfly from our Butterfly Mini Range.
While having a sort out the other day I cam across a load of peel-offs. I ditched some of them then thought that I can use them as masks!!!! So I placed a peel-off greeting onto the card then swiped across with Distress Ink in Spun Sugar (a la Kaz I know but I needed the cat to stand out!) and pulled the peel-off off again. The stamp has been coloured with copics and glitter added to the flowers & ears. I also added Glossy accents to the nose and then gems to the flowers. The eyes are wobbly eyes but I think one is stuck hahahaa!!!!!!! The butterfly has been painted & glittered.

My name is Karen and I love using my watercolour pencils hahahaha!!!!! But...I don't really do cute so this is very different for me. I have used a Mabel Lucie Attwell stamp set from Katy Sue Designs for a little 1st birthday card for my step-granddaughter. She has an older (just) sister who is two and I don't think it will be long before they are whispering together like this...plotting and scheming haha!!!
I have used Derwent Inktense for all but the skin. Now I love these pencils but I do wish they would bring out some watercolour skintones!!!I used a very watered down Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet in the end.
